Halifax Dog Guide
Hi to everyone who is thinking about moving to Halifax, already living in Halifax or maybe just got a new dog in Halifax. This is your new playground for everything dog related that I have experienced or read about.
When I moved here a lot went into the trip including finding an airline who would fly a Bosco, locating finding pet friendly accomodations and even figuring out where I can take Bosco for walks.
I hope this will grow into a great source of info so for those who need it can find everything in one spot. Hoooray for Halifax dogs and if you have anything to add please do.
Also please help us get the word out about The Chocolate Dog Blog. If you found some useful information tell your friends or even mention to places how you found them. That would be great!
Dog friendly accomodations
This can be a chore but for those who put in the work there are some great places to find. Sometimes you have to put in the extra effort and sell the landlord on your dog because they all have had horrible experiences in the past.
This is the most extensive list of places in the city.

Pets Unlimited - A giant store for everything pet related out in Bayers Lake.

Oakglen Boarding Kennels LTD. - Bosco has stayed there and I really liked it. I highly recommend this place if you have the means to get out there.
Canine Casbah - (902) 422-0515. Located on Oak St. this home based Doggie daycare is great for those who live in the city and don’t have means to go to kennels outside of metro. Bosco has stayed there for a few days and he loved it.
