Super Bowl goes to the dogs

    By cuzzy | January 26, 2009

Are you ready for the Super Bowl this Sunday? Bosco is!

If you are a football fan you already know that the Arizona Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers are squaring off for the Super Bow this year.

But if you are a pet lover there is a different game to check out.

Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl V kicks off Feb. 1 from 3 to 5 p.m. for both Eastern Time and Pacific Time.

The all-star lineup features animal shelter puppies that are available for adoption, or as the Animal Planet Web site calls them,”free agents looking for a good home.”

During this event, the puppies will rumble around an enclosed area that looks like a football field, chasing each other and playing with toys that look like football.

I wish Bosco could get in on this, he would be an unstoppable fullback.

The Most Valuable Puppy will be named toward the end of the game just like in any real game.

If you are a cat person, don’t worry.

    Kittens will provide half-time entertainment.

Sound like a great alternative to the real game for sure.

Check out Abigail, last year’s Most Valuable Puppy.

We will be flipping back and forth on Sunday so everyone is happy. Too bad Bosco can’t enjoy all the tasty food that will be put out. Oh well.

Awesome blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any recommendations? Many thanks!
