Went for one, came home with 27!

Now this woman’s heart is in the right place but I can’t imagine taking on this challenge.
A Spanish Springs woman who went to a California dog pound looking for pet to replace her own dog that was hit by a car admits she went overboard when she brought home 27 dogs that were facing euthanasia. But she didn’t expect to run afoul of the law.
Spalioni said she was trying to find another dog who looked like Barney, her 2-year-old pointer that was struck and killed by a car in November.
Bosco plus 26 other dogs may drive me insane but I love hearing about dogs getting to extend their life.
But once home, neighbors complained of the barking, and she was told local ordinance prohibits more than three dogs per household.
After her story was posted on a newspaper blog, Spalioni said she had found homes for all but four of the dogs as of Monday.
She’s hopes to find homes for the remaining dogs before her husband, who is out of town, returns home Wednesday.

That’s agreat thing to have done. Just lucky that she found new homes for them. Can you imagine!

Wow, that is absolutely awesome. I am so happy you saved all those puppies lives and found homes for the Holidays. You are a Santa in disguise.

It seems a bit careless of the shelter to just let her have 27 dogs… especially knowing the 3 dog law in Los Angeles….

That’s an amazing thing that woman did - she literally saved 27 harmless animals from being put down!! I hope that she is able to find homes for all of them with owners as loving and selfless as she is.
