A dip in the lake

The weather has been pretty mild over the last few days so we took advantage and hit the lake the other day for a swim. Here is a short video of Bosco going after his ball.

That is what I call playing for the love of the game. My goodness. How cold was that lake.
Bosco must really love swimming. I know my old Labs did. Have a goodun Cuz and Bosco!

What a beautiful place for a swim! My dogs are jealous.. they only have a man made pond, uhg!

Ace loves chasing a ball in the water. Too bad it’s too cold here for a swim. Looks like Bosco had a great time!

Watching your chocolate labs jump in the water reminded me of my hound Noodles. She was not easy to train, and the obedience trainer said that choke collars etc. were not very effective because she had a very high pain tolerance. (I wish I’d been aware of some of the hands off training methods that I know about now.) The trainer said that was because the dogs was used to jumping into cold water - like in Halifax I suppose.
