A new park adventure for Bosco
By cuzzy | July 14, 2008

The weather in Halifax this past weekend was amazing. Sunny, warm and a breeze. On Saturday we decided it was time to check out a new park and take Bosco on another Nova Scotia adventure.
I was looking on the map and there is a Provincial Park not that far from the kennel we take Bosco to when we go away.
It is called Jerry Lawrence Park (used to be Lewis Lake) and it is best described as a small day use park with picnic area and trails.

Now it is not an off leash park but once we found some pretty remote places we did let Bosco go for a swim and a run. It was a hot one and he needed a cool bath.

The park is great for fishing with a few docks and some really deep water. I also read they stock the two lakes before each season with salmon and trout.
Once off the main trail we did a little woods hiking until we found a long, gravel bike road. Walking on it was hot and after a while we figured it was best to turn around.

Bosco had a great time and it is definitely a park I will go back to with my bike, fishing rod and of course the Boss.

If you have access to a car and want to take the dog somewhere new, this park is a good adventure.
