Scary dogs……boooo

Rick Conrad talks about dressing up your pets.
Candice Blaney, owner of Glamour Puss and the Naughty Dog in downtown Halifax, says more people are dressing up their pets for Halloween and she’s bracing herself for a rush this week.
“People start asking in August about the Halloween costumes and I start taking orders,” she says.
“It’s really popular. Wait till Christmas and all the Christmas bandanas and stuff, that’s very popular too.”
The reason they’re so popular? It’s pretty simple, Blaney says.
“They’re all so friggin’ cute.”
Blaney’s store carries about a dozen different costumes, priced from $20 to $30, including a Superman-style outfit complete with cape, a Spider-Man suit, a Dallas Cowboys outfit and a cheerleader number.
Christine Greening, owner of the recently opened Bark & Fitz location in downtown Halifax, is planning a Halloween costume party for dogs on Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. at the store. People have to register their pooch a few days in advance either by calling 406-FITZ or e-mailing barkandfitz@eastlink.ca.

Maybe it’s just me, but I think that it takes away a dogs dignity dressing it up. But that’s just me. Roxie will not be dressing up for Halloween.
