    Heavy on my mind

    By cuzzy | August 15, 2007

Yesterday we went down to the vet again for the weekly scale check and of course less than a week after seeing Bosco shrink to 70 lbs. he is back to 72 lbs.  I know it can be less than 100% accurate just by the way Bosco sits etc. but he goes up and down like a yo-yo. I wish I could lose and gain weight so fast like that.

I have been feeding him an extra cup of food per day since the ladies at the vet said he could stand to gain some girth. I think I will keep him on that diet unless he balloons to over 75 lbs.

That is all that is going on with Bosco this week. Slow summer times of relaxing in the backyard and laying around the house. Ah the life of a lab.

Oh, Bosco - You are lucky you get to eat more…but my mom always says your true wait is when you are naked & nothing in your tummy or bum….. No worries about your weight…just enjoy the extra servings!

Our labs can pretty easily fluctuate by a few pounds if we’re not careful, so I wouldn’t worry about Bosco too much. When we alter their diet we only vary the food by 1/8-1/4 cup and over a week or two they’ve gained or dropped a couple pounds.
