    Who would beat a puppy!

    By cuzzy | July 12, 2007

I am not a violent person but when I read stories like this I would love 10 minutes in a room with whoever did this. I know two bads don’t make a right and all that but anyone who beats an animal should be treated the same as anyone who does that to a human.

    From the Chronicle Herald

A black Labrador puppy needs your help after she was found abandoned in a ditch near Shubenacadie on Wednesday, dehydrated and starving, her two front legs broken and her bones showing through her fur.

The puppy’s injuries appear to be from a beating, not from being hit by a car.

“Whether it was one swing, two or ten, we don’t know,” Trish Pittman, the founder and president of the Labrador Rescue Club of Nova Scotia, said, her voice cracking. Expensive surgery is needed for the puppy, but with her owners abandoning her to die, there is no one to front the bill.

Lilly, what rescuers have taken to calling the puppy, was first spotted in the ditch Sunday night by a passerby.

The person thought nothing of it until the puppy was spotted in the ditch again Wednesday and animal control was called.

The puppy has been taken to the Clayton Park Veterinary Hospital for care.
