New game for Bosco
By cuzzy | March 19, 2007
On Saturday we had quite the ice storm overnight in Halifax. I had to go to work so that meant it was a day where Bosco would get walked by Katie. Due to the icey conditions, it was not ideal to walk Bosco until much later in the day. So what is a girl to do when she needs to let a dog burn some energy?
Invent a new game of course. I guess Katie and Bosco enjoyed a new driveway game called slippery ball. I do not think there was a lot involved other than a tennis ball and ice. I think Katie just tossed the tennis ball and then watched Bosco fetch it, slipping all over the place.
Apparently Bosco really liked it and it helped him make it through the day without a traditional walk. When everything melted later in the afternoon, Katie and Bosco went for walk and that put him into nap mode for the rest of the night.
I will have to remember slippery ball the next time I don’t feel like taking the chocolate guy for a walk. For now I like to fall back on stair training which involves me tossing toys down the stairs and making Bosco run up and down. Now that really tires him out and I think helps him keep his trim figure. Feel free to try this at your house if you are lucky enough to have stairs.
